two more hand-dyed skeins! i was going for a soft black/dark grey and i definitely achieved that, but i wasn’t expecting the slight purplish tint! i think it adds extra dimension, especially with the tonal element kettle dyeing gives. i’ll be using this as my warp yarn for a woven scarf, and the olive green tonal yarn i made the other day as the weft.
this is a better picture of the dark grey and the green skeins i dyed, in ball form you can really see the tonal variations and this picture shows the colours most accurate to how they look in person
